Welcome to the 2011-2012 Skating Season! Michigan Tech is pleased to off three (3) programs for this fall:
Learn to Skate Program
Starting Sunday, September 11 (5:00-6:50pm)
- Snow Plow Sam & Basic Skills 1-8
-$75.00 per session and includes USFS Basic Skills Membership
-NEW! $25.00 Basic Skills Synchronized Skating Skills Class- Open to Skaters in Basic 4 - Basic 8.
-Preschoolers through adults will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of ice skating with their respective age groups.
Skate-Up Program
Starting Sunday, September 11 (7:00-7:50pm)
- Ideal for Basic 4-Basic 8 level skaters
- 45-minute class broken into (3) 15-minute sessions to cover beginning MIF, Dance & Freestyle
- $85.00 per session and includes USFS Introductory Club Membership & CCSA Membership
-SkateUp is designed to teach skating skills at a faster pace in a group lesson format and to introduce the benefits of club membership. This "bridge program" is what connects skaters from the Learn to Skate program into the Figure Skating Club.
Figure Skating Dance & Stretch
Starting Wednesday, September 21 (7:00-7:45pm)
- For Beginner-Advanced Figure Skaters
- 45-Minute Off-Ice Class in the Blue Line Room (Ice Arena)
- This class has been conveniently scheduled between the 6-6:50pm & 8-8:50pm CCSA ice sessions on Wednesday evenings.
- $65.00 per skater
- Class format covers warm-up, dance lesson & stretch. Four dance sessions (6-weeks each) will cover Ballet, Ballroom, Hip Hop & Modern Dance.
