This event is an opportunity for MTU and CCSA to celebrate skating, alert local media and invite members to perform and host activities that will attract new families to skating. Through a series of organized on and off-ice activities, everyone will enjoy a fun-filled day at the rink. It is a FREE Event.
The different ways in which the CCSA parents can participate and earn volunteer hours:
(1) Spread the word about the event. Bring a flyer to your workplace, school, daycare, favorite restaurant, etc. Tell your friends about it that may have kids interested in skating lessons...
(2) Consignment shop - Help assist with sales and keeping an eye on the merchandise.
(3) CCSA information table - Provide information about the club & the programs that are offered. A great opportunity to mention the ice show.
(4) Play music/announce for the exhibition
(5) Play music for the practice session/announce the raffle winners
(6) Assist new parents/skaters by making sure their skates are tied correctly and are on the right feet :)
